Membership is open to any male (no age limit) who can prove direct descent from a man or woman who contributed to our country’s freedom from Great Britain.
Patriots do not need to have served in the military. They may have supported the Revolution by paying a supply tax, providing food for troops, serving as a juror, or as a local public servant.
You will need to document your lineage back to your qualifying patriot ancestor. We can help! Acceptable sources for proof are vital records, census records, probate records, wills, a family Bible, etc.
Start with what you know, and work from there: your birth date and place, your parents’ names, dates, and places of birth, and then your grandparents.
We can help you gather your proof. Contact Us to find out how we can help!
We are a historical, educational, patriotic and service organization. Membership is based on our common direct lineage from those who fought for or directly supported the cause of the American Revolution from 1774 to 1783.
As a non-political, non-profit organization, we are dedicated to preserving the ideals of America’s founding documents.
